Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Stata Insight Technologies website (statainsight.ng) or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please refrain from using the site or our services.
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and clients of Stata Insight Technologies.
Services description
Stata Insight Technologies provides software development and technology services, including but not limited to:
- Custom software development (web, mobile, AI/ML, BI)
- DevOps as a Service — infrastructure management, CI/CD, monitoring
- MVP Acceleration — end-to-end product development for startups
- Products including the Journal Management System and StataMart
The exact deliverables, scope, and timelines for any client engagement are defined in an individual statement of work, contract, or order agreement separate from these terms.
User responsibilities
You agree to use our website and services lawfully and respectfully. You will not:
- Use the site or services for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, accounts, or infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the operation of the website
- Upload malicious code, malware, or any content that infringes others' rights
- Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or intentions when engaging us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any violation of these responsibilities.
Intellectual property
All content on the Stata Insight website — including text, design, code, illustrations, logos, and brand assets — is owned by Stata Insight Technologies or used under license. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute this content without our written permission.
Client deliverables
For client engagements, intellectual property in custom deliverables — code, designs, and documentation — is transferred to the client upon receipt of full payment, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the relevant contract.
Stata Insight retains ownership of pre-existing tools, frameworks, and proprietary methodologies used to deliver the work. We may also retain the right to reference completed projects in our portfolio and case studies, subject to any confidentiality terms agreed upon.
Confidentiality
We take confidentiality seriously. Any non-public information you share with us — whether in a scoping conversation, project brief, or active engagement — is treated as confidential and used only to deliver the services you've engaged us for.
We're happy to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements before detailed discussions about your project, on request.
Payment terms
Payment terms for individual engagements are defined in the relevant contract or statement of work. In general:
- Project-based work is typically structured as milestone payments — deposit, mid-project, and delivery
- DevOps services are billed monthly or yearly in advance per the chosen plan
- Late payments may incur fees or pause delivery, as defined in the contract
- All prices exclude applicable taxes unless explicitly stated
We accept bank transfer, Paystack, and Flutterwave. Both USD and NGN payments are supported.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Stata Insight Technologies' total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms, the website, or our services is limited to the fees paid by the client in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — even if advised of the possibility.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement under the conditions set out in the relevant contract — typically with a defined notice period and settlement of outstanding fees for work completed to date.
We may also suspend or terminate access to the website or services without notice if you breach these terms, engage in unlawful activity, or if continued service poses a risk to other clients or our systems.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms, the website, or our services will be handled in the competent courts located in Lagos, Nigeria.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
